For its size and weight, the Glock G22 can accommodate more bullets than the majority of other full-sized handguns in its class. From the first to the last bullet, the Glock Safe Action technology ensures a reliable trigger pull. The pistol’s fire control system includes three mechanical safeties that operate independently and automatically. When the trigger is pulled, each of the three safety features disengages in turn before automatically engaging again. The polymer frame has steel guides that have been hardened. It is light and has the perfect grip angle.

The shooting hand can easily operate the magazine catch and the slide stop lever. Even when operating in saltwater circumstances, the improved surface treatment of the slide results in optimal hardness by significantly decreasing wear and tear and making it corrosion resistant. The matte finish reduces reflected light. The barrel is cold-hammer forged and mechanically locked. The advanced surface treatment on it is identical to that of the slide. In accordance with some state legislation, the extractor functions as a loaded chamber indicator, and its location may both physically and visibly indicate whether a cartridge is in the pistol’s chamber.
