WINCHESTER MODEL 21 DUCK

One of the better side-by-side shotguns is the Winchester Model 21 Duck. About 30,000 shotguns were produced during the shotgun’s first production run, which lasted from 1931 until 1960. The Model 21 was outsourced to the Winchester Custom Shop until the gun’s retirement in 1991 when the Winchester Repeating Arms Company stopped producing it on its main line in 1960.

Winchester’s attempt to produce a high-end side-by-side shotgun to compete with those made by luxury manufacturers like Fox and Parker was the Model 21. Because it is considered to be nearly a bespoke shotgun, the Model 21 has a sizable collector base.
